Fridays - 2nd Period- 10:00am-11:30am

Join us for a hands-on, activity-filled class. Through reading, map-making, acting out important moments in history, and by diving into the lives of fascinating individuals we will learn about the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Reformation! We will learn about the Barbarians, the plague, feudalism, and the rise of Renaissance art and thought, and finally, the sweeping changes brought about by the Reformation leaders. We will read some great books set in the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Reformation. These stories incite the imagination and immerse us in the time period. We will do some writing about history and create artifacts.

Each student will have the opportunity to research and prepare a class presentation on a portion of Medieval or Renaissance history. I will supply several books on this period of History for the whole class but you will need to buy 2-4 paperback books during the year. Most are available at Half Price books or as used books on Amazon.
