This class is designed to provide creative, engaging activities that will have your
student falling in love with writing and literature! We will read novels in class.
We will investigate those novels through drama, writing, poetry, and art. We will
tackle some creative writing (using “brave writing” for our beginning writers!).
We will do group activities, play writing games, and read our work aloud. We
will keep a journal, read some great short stories, and play lots of language building
games.

ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS PLEASE BRING:
- 2 sharpened pencils with good erasers
- Red Pen, Black Pen, Highlighter
- Book - TBA (I will supply a journal, lots of reading and writing material. Throughout the year you will buy 3-4 inexpensive paperback novels for your student to read in class.)
